Gazing through the window, she watches the students running about the campus grounds. Horse play seemed to be the main activity of the day. None of that worried her too much, children would be children after all. So long as it didn't turn hateful and violent. It wasn't hard for her to recall her own years running about as a student at this very academy. Some of the moments had been dark, but the good far out shone the bad. That's why she had decided to stay on wasn't it? To help look after the younger generations, and she firmly believed that non-magical humans and magical creatures could co-exist and live in peace.
Of course there were evil magical beings, but there were evil humans as well. No single race was perfect and filled with goodness, even angels had their problems. But then that was a break off that almost everyone knew about magical and non. Sighing, she pushes herself away from the window and plops down into one of the lounge chairs instead. Nestling a cup of hot tea between her hands, as she stares towards the stack of papers she'd left sitting on the table. Amanda had never realized how much tape one had to go through, to set up a field trip for their class. It also explained why there weren't more field trips. But she was persistent and would get through all that tape... eventually. For now though, she was content to enjoy her tea, and just... remember.
