.) This is a rapid-fire role play, meaning that there is no limit to how long or short your post is. However once you start role playing with someone, we ask that you try to match your lengths together. It's not really fair to someone who posts a few paragraphs to get a few sentences in return.
.) While we have no limit on how many characters you create, we ask that you make only what you can handle. Don't over whelm yourself. If one of your characters starts to get 'dusty' you'll be warned to do something with them- if you neglect to get them rotating again, we'll have to ask you to delete them.
.) Play Bys need to be of someone famous in one line or another. If we search their name in Google we should find a response in the first line. So we suggest you stick to Actors, Actresses, Musicians, Models, ETC. We'd like to steer clear of having E-Famous picture bases.
.) That brings us to avatars, you may have them sized up to 150x200. The avatar must be a picture of your playby. In the spirit of keeping things 'magical' we will allow you to use a cartoon or drawn picture in your signature that may show what your character looks like when in their true form rather than their human guise. Please do not stretch the board with your signatures they should be no wider than 400.
.) There is no set list of races that you may create. In fact we'd love for you to be creative. So many cultures in the world, so many various magical creatures at your disposal. Though I do have to make one quick note, for those interested in role playing vampires. While we do accept vampires, they do not sparkle here.
.) Keep the powers of your characters reasonable. If you're using a well known race, do research to see what sorts of powers they had and why. It'll give you something to start with and work on. Also remember that for student characters, we don't expect them to wield their powers gracefully or even know about all of them. It is a learning process after all.
.) So you feel the need to get into a brawl? The magical students do have a sparring club. One that is ran and over seen by staff members that allow them to duel magically or with weapons. It is forbidden for magical students to use their powers on humans, especially in a harmful manner. This will result in your automatic suspension from Dreamscape and you will be sent back home. In extreme cases, ones that result in a humans death- your character will also be stripped of all of his/her powers. If two students feel the need to fight, outside of the sparring area you need the consent of the other characters player. Do not force moves, reactions, or hits on them. If you do the first post and do an attack, then you should end your post there and allow them to respond with their dodge/hit and counter attack and so on. However students caught fighting on campus will be sent to detention and given other various punishments.
